Submissions for our journal are currently closed
Emory Law Journal has closed submissions for fall 2026. Thank you for your interest and continued scholarship. We will re-open for submissions in February 2027!
For Authors
The Emory Law Journal is published six times a year. We are currently closed for submissions. We are still reviwing the submissions we have received for the fall cycle and will let authors know of our decision as soon as possible. We will reopen for submissions for our Vol. 77 in February 2027.
We only accept electronic submissions for publication, and do so via Scholastica. Do not send manuscripts to the Emory Law Journal via email to the journal or individual editors.
Submission Requirements
ELJ is restricted editorially only by the limits of legal scholarship and interest. We encourage submissions that explore novel and prescriptive claims.
We prefer that manuscripts do not exceed 30,000 words, including footnotes.
Expedited Review
If you have submitted a manuscript for review by the Emory Law Journal and would like to request an expedited review, you have two options. You are encouraged to use Scholastica to enter expedite requests. You may also contact the Executive Articles Editor by e-mail at ELJarticles@emory.edu.
